Tepper Finance Group

Academies

Five Clubs, One Vision.

The Tartan Student Fund sits at the forefront of the wider Tepper Finance Group (TFG), an umbrella organization holding the core undergraduate finance clubs together on Carnegie Mellon University’s campus.

Together, we work in tandem with our sister clubs to provide a comprehensive platform for budding students to accelerate their career aspirations in finance.

TFG comprises the Tartan Student Fund, as well as:

- the Investment Banking Academy (IBA)
- the Sales & Trading Academy (STA)
- the Research & Asset Management Academy (RAMA)
- the Introductory Finance Society (IFS)

IBA, STA & RAMA focus on providing extensive recruiting support for underclassmen students entering their recruiting cycle for summer internships. This aid comes in the form of technical workshops, 1-to-1 mentorship, interview & networking preparation, and application strategy.

IFS (@ifs_cmu) aims to build introductory knowledge of finance among the CMU undergraduate community. It is open to all students regardless of background and holds weekly sessions on a variety of finance topics.

100% Placement Rate

into high finance roles by IBA, STA & RAMA members since inception.
